    TNI Task Force's Free Medical Services Greeted Happily By Gigobak Residents

    PUNCAK - The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Sinak Post led by Major Firman, invited residents from Gigobak Village to join the free medical services.

    The Commander of 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, has emphasized to his Soldiers that helping people in need in the assigned areas is important in securing the area. Based on this emphasis, the Soldiers showed their attention and concern for the people of Gigobak Village, especially in public health.

    As a form of concern, the Soldiers took the initiative to provide free medical services to the residents, including medical check-ups and treatment. Before leaving for duty, the 323 Task Forces had taken the initiative to buy and collect several types of drugs at the home base, to be taken to the Task Area to be distributed to people in need. As a result, on Tuesday morning until noon (30/7), at the Sinak Post, residents of Gigobak Village flocked to the location organized by the 323 Task Forces.

    On that occasion, the Soldiers used the moment to interact and communicate to obtain information from residents regarding situation developments in the Gigobak Village, especially regarding regional security. The free medical services were welcomed by the residents who had the opportunity for free medical check-ups and treatment. One of them, Mr. Elmos Sondegau, said, "Praise God, Thank you Commander 323 for the free medicine. God bless TNI."

    "The initiative of the 323 Task Forces to hold an activity to hold free medical treatment for the people in the Gigobak Village is TNI’s effort to provide basic necessities services, to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
