PAPUA - In a heartwarming display of care and solidarity, the Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Raider 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, under the HABEMA Operations Command, continues to make a difference in Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province. As part of their RI-PNG Mobile Border Security Operation, the Task Force, alongside the school and local community, organized a free lunch program for hundreds of elementary school children in Ayata Village, Aifat District, Maybrat Regency, on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

This initiative, themed “Free Lunch for the Nation’s Children”, aims to support government programs focused on improving children's welfare, particularly in nutrition and education. The goal is not only to bring joy but also to ensure that students have the energy and nourishment needed to focus on their studies.

A Day of Joy and Gratitude

Under the warm Papuan sun, children eagerly lined up with bright smiles, waiting for their meals. As the soldiers of Task Force Yonif 501/BY served them nutritious food, laughter and excitement filled the air.

"Thank you, Pak Tentara! The food is delicious, and I’m so happy to have lunch with my friends!" said Yulius (9), one of the students, his eyes shining with joy.

This initiative is not just about providing food—it is a tangible step in supporting national efforts to enhance children’s nutrition and overall health, ensuring they grow into a strong, intelligent, and capable generation.

    A Commitment to Community Welfare

Lieutenant Colonel Inf. Yakhya Wianu A. S.Sos., M.Han, Commander of the Yonif 501/BY Task Force, emphasized the importance of their mission beyond security operations.

"As part of this community, we share the responsibility of helping children thrive, both in terms of education and proper nutrition. We will continue to support government programs in shaping a healthy and intelligent future generation, " he stated.

By organizing this event, Task Force Yonif 501/BY reaffirms its dedication to not only maintaining peace and security but also contributing positively to the well-being of local communities.

HABEMA Commander, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, expressed his appreciation for the initiative:

"The free lunch program, held by Task Force Yonif 501/BY in collaboration with the school and local community, is a reflection of TNI’s commitment to serving fundamental community needs. This effort directly supports the acceleration of development in Papua, ensuring a brighter future for the nation’s children."

With unity, compassion, and a shared vision for a better future, TNI Habema continues to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, inspiring the young generation to dream big and reach for success.
