Habema Soldiers Treated The Wound Of Delpel Child Due To Playing Football

NDUGA - Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Thursday, 15 August 2024, the 503 Task Forces, especially the Soldiers of the Quary Bawah Post led by Second Lieutenant Febri, carried out a security patrol in the Delpel Village, Kenyam District. During the patrol, the Patrol Team met a child named Daniel Murib, who had injured his leg due to falling while playing football with his friends.

During their patrol, the Soldiers noticed Daniel sitting on the field's edge, clearly in pain. Upon approaching him, they discovered that he had injured his leg while playing with his friends. Despite the pain, Daniel was comforted by his friends.

Luckily, while carrying out the patrol, a Medical personnel from the Task Force was also part of the Patrol Team. Seeing Daniel's condition, the personnel immediately checked and treated Daniel's leg wound. After the treatment, the personnel gave Daniel free medicine to consume for the next few days to heal his wound.

The actions of the Patrol Team in Delpel Village followed up on the emphasis of the Commander of the 503 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, regarding the importance of the Task Force's attention to the basic needs of the community in the assigned area. After the treatment was completed, Daniel expressed his gratitude by saying, "Thank you, Om Tentara (Soldier). I am happy that the TNI is helping the people."

Upon receiving the program report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, expressed his pride, saying, "The initiative of the 503 Task Forces providing treatment to a child in Kampung Delpel is the TNI's implementation of providing basic needs services to support acceleration of development in the Papua region." This positive response from the military leadership reassures the event's success and underscores its impact on the community.
